A Chief Executive Officer of a business empire says,"I made preaching my primary assignment because I will be going HOME with its GAINS.The gains from other businesses will surely remain here with 'them'!"
Many of us used to hide our Bibles so that our friends and relatives would not think that we are lost or that we have become fanatics! To God be all the glory,today,everyone wants to 'show' his or her Bible.Why? That is where LIFE is;That is where the TRUTH is written.After all,preaching and business go in pari-passu.
The Chief Executive Officer is wise.He realized that for any soul one wins,there is a star.It means for one hundred souls,there are hundred stars! How do I know? "He that winneth soul is wise"Proverbs 11:30.Also,"soul winners will shine like stars..." Daniel 12 verse 3.Furthermore,"in my Father's HOUSE,there are many mansions" John 14 verse 2.So many of us prefer the Mansions to the 'boys quarters'!
So many of us are selfish.We want to go to Heaven all alone.We want to 'sneak' into Heaven.Anyone who does not tell his friends,relatives,even his 'enemies' about the saving grace of Jesus Christ is simply selfish and wicked.No matter how we claim to love them,if we fail to preach to them or reach them,we do not love them at all.Some of us will not even mention Jesus to that girl or that boy simple because we plan to woo her or lure them to sin!
There are other benefits when we preach.We also preach to ourselves when we preach to others,we remind ourselves what the Bible says.We also protect ourselves anytime the devil wants to push us to sin.
Jesus Christ according to the book of John 1v 1 to 14 is the WORD of GOD.The WORD of God in the book of Mark 16 verse 15 says,"go ye into the world and preach the gospel..." Preaching therefore is a command;a great commission! The WORD of God-Jesus Christ is the Only One that ordains us not man.We should not wait until we are 'ordained' before we should do what God wants us to do.Truly,the assignment is not in the title,suits or collar or sultan! It is not only for the Bishops,pastors,Evangelists,Reverend Fathers,etc.It is for everyone.If you fail to do yours,in Heaven,one may ask his or her pastor or Reverend Priest the reason for not telling him or her.The answer will be,"but you had your Bible and I was always asking you to study it!"
Honestly,everyone is working for the GAINS!
